Radioactive Fallout
The Threat of Radioactive Fallout from Japan
Heard much news about Fukushima, the site of the Daitchi nuclear reactors that were so damaged in the March earthquake and tsunami? I didn’t think so. If I weren’t something of a news junkie, I wouldn’t have heard anything much either.
But I am a news junkie, and I can tell you that in the last few months, there’s been a near daily drumbeat of news, none of it very good and some of it quite horrifying. For example, did you know there’d been 3 full meltdowns? Did you know that the radiation levels are twice as high as we’d originally been told? Did you know radiation from Japan has reached the U.S. (milk, for example)? Or how about the fact that TEPCO doesn’t have a clue what to do about their little disaster?
Watch this page for future news updates. In the meantime, here are some early headlines.
