Foods that Contain the Highest Amount of Pesticides Much of the produce that is sold today in supermarkets is supplied from farmers who practice conventional farming methods. In other words, the produce has been grown using chemical fertilizers as well as pesticides and herbicides. Many scientific studies suggest that the effects of synthetic pesticides can be detrimental to our health; one study suggests that the consumption of pesticides may lead to ADHD in children; in some other cases, exposure can lead to many forms of cancers, infertility problems and birth defects. Along with the many other poor ‘food like’ products we are eating, there is an array of foreign substances that are entering our bodies. As we expose ourselves to these synthetic substances over the years, our bodies become overloaded, and our ‘cleaning’ mechanisms fail to work. As a result, many of us develop sickness and disease because our bodies cannot efficiently remove these toxins anymore. In order to help give your body a break from this chemical onslaught, we have suggested what foods should be eaten organically. The foods listed below are some of the most toxic to our bodies if eaten from conventional sources. Based on the Environment Working Group (EWG), they contain the most pesticides, both on and within them, compared to other foods; so, if you are considering switching to organic, we would suggest taking account of the foods below as a first propriety in your transition.

Top 12 Foods You Should Eat Organically (From lowest to highest amount of pesticides)

This is important. Have a look (and it looks like a great website otherwise, btw).

Govt Slaves | October 2 2012

NOW we can understand why Monsanto and partners are so desperately fighting California’s Prop 37. This list is truly sickening. ~G

Rumor Mill News agent writes ~ I have always wanted to know which foods I have been eating are genetically modified. This article is quite ironic because I just ate a Hostess Cupcake (which I normally never eat) as a lunch treat. It tasted awful!

It’s an extensive list — shockingly long, actually. But you definitely want to take a few minutes to read every item on the list. And if you’re not familiar with why you should avoid GMOs like the plage, get our your googling fingers and get to work. They’re bad (perhaps deadly) to you, our environment, and our food supply. Share the link and spread the word.

Genetically modified foods have been shown to cause harm to humans, animals, and the environmental, and despite growing opposition, more and more foods continue to be genetically altered. It’s important to note that steering clear from these foods completely may be difficult, and you should merely try finding other sources than your big chain grocer. If produce is certified USDA-organic, it’s non-GMO (or supposed to be!) Also, seek out local farmers and booths at farmer’s markets where you can be ensured the crops aren’t GMO. Even better, if you are so inclined: Start organic gardening and grow them yourself. Until then, here are the top 10 worst GMO foods for your “do not eat” GMO foods list.

Top 10 Worst GMO Foods for Your GMO Foods List

1. Corn: This is a no-brainer. If you’ve watched any food documentary, you know corn is highly modified. “As many as half of all U.S. farms growing corn for Monsanto are using genetically modified corn,” and much of it is intended for human consumption. Monsanto’s GMO corn has been tied to numerous health issues, including weight gain and organ disruption.

2. Soy: Found in tofu, vegetarian products, soybean oil, soy flour, and numerous other products, soy is also modified to resist herbicides. As of now, biotech giant Monsanto still has a tight grasp on the soybean market, with approximately 90 percent of soy being genetically engineered to resist Monsanto’s herbicide Roundup. In one single year, 2006, 96.7 million pounds of glyphosate was sprayed on soybeans alone

3. Sugar: According to NaturalNews, genetically-modified sugar beets were introduced to the U.S. market in 2009. Like others, they’ve been modified by Monsanto to resist herbicides. Monsanto has even had USDA and court-related issues with the planting of it’s sugar beets, being ordered to remove seeds from the soil due to illegal approval.

#10 was a shocker to me, and I try to stay informed on the subject. Naturally, just when I’m eating more and more of that item … Grrrrr.

<p style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Times; font-size: medium;”> A unique, hard-hitting report just completed by a California attorney exposes a largely unknown federal food-stamp racket involving large grocery retailers, food manufacturing giants and other private players, including the Federal Reserve and JPMorganChase, which combine to channel food stamp spending into a gravy train for the heavy hitters in the food industry.
<p style=”color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-family: Times; font-size: medium;”>

There is NO ONE the 1% will not steal from, nothing they hold sacred (except their own pursuit of infiinite amounts of money, of course), nothing they won’t do. They have decimated the middle class and are now feeding off the poorest among us.

…snip… Bear Naked, Wholesome & Hearty, Kashi: all three and more actually belong to the cereals giant Kellogg. Naked Juice? That would be PepsiCo of Pepsi and Fritos fame. And behind the pastoral-sounding Walnut Acres, Health Valley and Spectrum Organics is none other than Hain Celestial, once affiliated with Heinz, the grand old name in ketchup.

Over the last decade, since federal organic standards have come to the fore, giant agri-food corporations like these and others — Coca-Cola, Cargill, ConAgra, General Mills, Kraft and M&M Mars among them — have gobbled up most of the nation’s organic food industry. Pure, locally produced ingredients from small family farms? Not so much anymore.

I’ve been celebrating the greatly increased availability of organic food lately — even in our grocery stores. Life was getting so much easier! Yeah, most of it is more expensive, but it’s THERE, it’s available! Hooray.

True, once in a while I did worry whether or not “organic” had just been co-opted, but there are rules and regulations and federal guidelines / certification procedures, right? Yeah, right.

And if you think — as I once mostly did (despite my ultra-cynical nature) — that those requirements, guidelines and rules haven’t ALSO been contaminated, then you definitely need to read this. In fact, if you EVER reach for “organic” over its alternative, you need to read this.

Ah, the Surveillance State arrives — a little late, perhaps, but boy! has it made up in efficiency and invasiveness what it lacked in timeliness. You gotta see this.

This is ghastly, beyond belief and a must read (see link). It needs to be stopped if at all possible.

Sometimes I think to myself, why don’t we stop pretending, and just let corporations buy Congresspeople and Senators outright — a kind of reverse public funding of elections? Skip the madness, just go straight from “I’d like to be bought to bought and the money goes in the public coffers because the now openly bought politician will make plenty on selling all his upcoming votes.

Non-GMO Shopping Guide

Don’t eat GMOs! Here’s a shopping guide, including an app for your iPhone. Lots of other great info too.

There are few indicators of the depth of woman-hating (misogyny) than examples like this one, where the hysterical protection of a non-viable fetus supersedes the rights of a child, and in this case a mentally-ill 10-year old.

Too, what better proof of the fact that in the United States, a female human is far less important (and slightly less human), and far less protected by our Constitution once she’s born than the fetus she may be forced to carry is.

Sick, sick, sick.

And let me remind you, if they can force you not to have an abortion — if they have the right to your body to do that — they can also exert the right over you to force you to have one as well.

I will not willingly eat non-organic corn. And unfortunately, corn is everywhere in our diets — corn chips, corn syrup, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, corn solids, cornmeal and corn muffins and grits and … it’s everywhere. Please be careful.
